MIRACLES HAPPEN

MIRACLES HAPPEN in our lives everyday. Most miracles are so small that the result is not realized until far into the future. Life itself is the first daily miracle. After that comes the miracle that we make it safely through traffic to get to work. And on and on. The unusual miracle so far today is noticing I was being overcharged on an invoice. Those suffering loss of love ones today will nay-say my thoughts about daily miracles; but I have lived past the period of grieving for lost loved ones and know that their passing was their miracle for that day.

Slipping into the past

The significant days in the lives of friends and family that have passed on brings a feeling of slipping into the past - despite the demands and delights of present day.

Today is such a day for me. So far, I have immersed myself in friendly talk with those around me in order to counter and choke back the tears just under the surface. Thereby, I have had a very pleasant day -- just the way it should be.

Another thing that makes this day good is the news about the release of the two journalist. The negotiation and mediation tactics involved should be printed in textbooks for training material.
